Is Bison Leather Waterproof? What to Know Before Buying

Bison leather is not itself waterproof. The leather's finish and the construction of the complete item affect how it handles moisture. Our bison leather goods are intended for ordinary use with appropriate care, not as waterproof containers. If keeping contents dry is essential, use a product with an explicit waterproof specification suited to the exposure you expect.

The Buffalo Checkbook is GREAT Except for one little problem, both of the pockets are approximately 1/16 th inch short in width on each side for the checks to fit. Wish it was just that much wider for a proper fit without straining the stitches.
